Home Assistant infrastructure Add-ons

My Home Assistant Add-ons for Infrastructure

I’ve created a repository of Home Assistant add-ons that I personally use in my setup. This repository is primarily tested on a Raspberry Pi (arm64 architecture), but it should also support amd64 and aarch64.

Add-ons

This repository currently includes two main add-ons:

CUPS Add-on

This add-on allows you to set up a print server using CUPS (Common Unix Printing System). It’s a modular printing system that enables your computer to act as a print server. I’ve included support for Samsung printers using the suld driver and PPD files from the HP support page. This work is a fork of the homeassistant-addon-cups-airprint project.

etcd Add-on

etcd is a distributed, reliable key-value store designed for the most critical data of a distributed system. It’s simple, secure, fast, and reliable. Please note that you should only use this add-on if you are running Home Assistant on SSD drives to avoid performance issues.

Installation

You can add my repositories to your Home Assistant instance to get started with these add-ons. I maintain two separate repositories: one for stable releases and another for development and new additions.

Stable Repository

This is the recommended repository for most users. It contains stable, well-tested versions of the add-ons.

  1. Go to the Add-on Store in Home Assistant.
  2. Click on the three dots in the top right corner and select “Repositories”.
  3. Add the following URL:
https://github.com/alsotoes/hassio-infrastructure

Unstable Repository

If you want to try out new features and upcoming add-ons, you can use the unstable repository. Please be aware that these versions might not be as reliable. New add-ons are added here first and then moved to the stable repository after a period of testing.

  1. Go to the Add-on Store in Home Assistant.
  2. Click on the three dots in the top right corner and select “Repositories”.
  3. Add the following URL:
https://github.com/alsotoes/hassio-infrastructure-dev

After adding either of the repositories, you will be able to find, install, and configure the corresponding add-ons from the Add-on Store.

License

All the add-ons in this repository are released under the GNU General Public License v3.0.
